Every nation has a past; this past has lessons to be drawn from that are crucial for future advancement and success. The past must however be relieved and focus on past limitations and failures redirected to the possibilities for the future. Investments in over- zealous political rivalry and excessive partisanship should be shifted to confronting the many objective challenges that confront the nation. Political power should be a tool to promote a great vision, create good & effective policies to transform lives for the better. Leadership should not be populist ... rather, policy should be populist. There should be greater commitment and good will on the part of all political actors to find common ground to provide credible solutions to age –old issues and problems. The Charles Sam generation must rise up to rebuild a Ghana that stands solid on the Trinity of Justice, Peace & Opportunity. A nation that belong as much to the humble as the powerful in society. A nation that accepts all tribes, creeds & political persuasions as one people with one destiny under God. Let’s build bridges, not create borders. Spread d word. Charles Sam. The effort of government should be complimented with the citizens’ positive response to create a winning situation. This equation will however add up only when there is widespread conviction in the correctness of the vision and the accuracy of the mission path towards attaining the vision. There must also be the will and effort to mobilise our intellectual, social and material resources in a dynamic effort to establish a prosperous nation. The political leadership suited to deliver the best results of the equation is one that has an ambitious, compelling vision and is self- sacrificing, inspirational, strong minded, competent, bold & aggressive, transformational, passionate, pragmatic, innovative, creative, limitless, strategic- minded and result oriented in nature. Atta Mills said .....‘ The Youth of Ghana should take charge of it’s own destiny.... And Charles Sam simply says.... ‘Moko Ayaa Ne Moko Aba... Akokra enko ema Abrantie embra.... The Old and Stale Generation must Go for The Young Fresh Innovative New- Thinking Strategic- Minded and Result- Oriented Generation to Take Over’.... Spread d word. Charles Sam. GENERATIONAL CHANGE CHAPTER 1....
The nation will be tuned to our 21st century Global – Spirited agenda that focuses on Competitive New Thinking, a Revolutionary Departure from Old Ways, Methods, Habits, Cultures & Failures, only if our generation comes together {forms highly- focused, progressive, die- hard, nation- building groupings} at community, corporate, personal relationship, tribal and all other levels. We are the young, exposed and adequately brain- tuned vanguards of revolutionary change. Remember that we are operating on lost time and have a lot of CATCHING UP TO DO so WE MUST RISE UP TO OUR GOD- GIVEN RESPONSIBILITY NOW!!!. Moko Ayaa Ne Moko Aba. Spread the word. Charles Sam. Generational partner, You are the only arm of God stretched out to re- define & re- shape Ghana’s destiny to create the golden future the nation has been praying for over time. Rise up to your responsibility by swinging into action because the nation awaits the delivery of the solution that currently lies in you. Look nowhere nor to anyone because you are here and you are the one. Don’t let our generation, subsequent ones, and the nation down. It’s our time to give to the nation. It’s our day of favour, It’s our 21st century world, It’s our time to lead, It’s our time of destiny, It’s the rise of a new generation. Moko Ayaa Ne Moko Aba. Spread the word. Charles Sam. In identifying key strategic sectors for rapid accelerated growth & expansion of her economy, as well as the nation’s comparative advantage in competition with the world, Ghana should use the following criteria as a basis for a concluding decision:
1. Ability to use as much local raw material as possible.
2. Ability to create significant levels of employment, especially for the broader- based majority populace of the less- privileged in terms of basic or higher education, the unskilled, the poor & vulnerable and most importantly, the youth.
3. Ability to create a multiplying effect on other economic actors
4. Ability to generate significant levels of foreign currency through exports in addition to exhausting the local market.
After establishing this process, we should proceed further to identifying credible businesses with a proven track- record, workable plans that meet the nation’s set objectives and finance them with state funds, through guarantees or re- capitalization of local banks to ensure that they succeed in these identified strategic sectors. We must take quick decisions and act swiftly to swing into action. Time is of essence in a competitive new- spirited global economy. We can make this happen. Spread the word. Charles Sam. Education should train the head, hands and heart so the educated would have a renewed mind-set, transformed life, progressive attitude and performs. The gap between the impossible and the possible lies in our determination to make the impossible, possible.... We can make it happen!! . Spread the word. Charles Sam. People of Ghana, after over half a century of nationhood under the direction of the old out- moded ‘analogue’ generation, the time has come for the young, creative & sharp-shooting ‘digital’ generation to take over full responsibility for mapping out the nation’s future in a rapidly changing & increasingly complex world. The responsibility of ensuring adequate preparation of the next generation for a smooth take- over within the shortest period, is a collective God-given responsibility of every Ghanaian, be it government, politicians, parents, school authorities, religious bodies, corporate bodies, businessmen & women, media, communities or traditional rulers. National focus must be on the young who have in them all that we require as a nation for rapid accelerated globally- competitive economic growth & development, and not the old. Matters of the youth should be given centre- stage and have priority place in our national life. Guarantee the future security of your self, your community & the whole nation by investing quality time, hope, knowledge, good advice & a little money in a well- mannered or even troublesome young person who is not related to you in your neighbourhood, at your work place. You could become a role- model to a group of them. God will also bless you & generations after you if you go out of your way to give a young person a job, use your influence or network to get a young one a job or create a good opportunity including helping him or her or support a group to engage in some legitimate enterprise. Be the rising sun that will warm up the dreams for our better tomorrow. Spread the word. Charles Sam. Golden Future Promotions. goldnfuture@yahoo.com

Ghana’s competitiveness, success and overall development in the new- spirited global economy is a shared responsibility of the young & old {a genuine collective effort & constructive partnership} but with the young charting the course. However, as the winding- down of the old generation and the rise of a new generation plays out, there is an urgent need for the nation to raise a mentally structured, well- organised & networked, highly- responsible and energised youth to take up the mantle of leadership to create a revolution very much in tune with progressive happenings in the advanced world of civilization and positive thinking. A youth of purpose, conviction, integrity & responsibility, our generation must take full responsibility for its destiny, rise up to the responsibility, forge progressive partnerships at community level in education & skill development, fighting crime, enterprise, sanitation, agricultural production, supporting community development projects, ICT, fighting illicit drugs abuse, alcohol abuse& sex. We must rise out of hopelessness, misery, a frustrated & defeatist life of alcohol, drugs, sex, bitterness and crime and be determined to create a better life & nation for ourselves. We must understand that there is a price to pay for any good thing in life, for as the saying goes, ‘there is no gain without pain’. Hope is you and if God deemed it fit to position you here in Ghana at this time of our history, there must be something special in you that God wants you to deliver to the nation. You are the new generation leader with solutions to age- old problems and Ghana can’t wait any longer to see your action. Wake up New Generation!!! Spread the word. Charles Sam. The Chinese central government has placed an age limit of 55years on its senior cadres wanting to put themselves forward for presidential and ministerial office. This is because after a thorough study of 50 years of octogenarian rulers, the nation came to a firm conclusion that it needed a younger generation of leaders who have the youthful brain power, fresh creative ideas, dynamic enthusiasm to change the status quo, and high energy levels as a powerful force to create an economic revolution in an ever- changing, dynamic, increasingly- complex, highly- competitive global- spirited economy. The reality of life is that as people grow older, their strengths, ideas, perspectives, world view, knowledge and even some experiences are far out- classed by the freshness, speed and fluidity of the 21st century which requires highly- energised time- conscious input. These new generation of leaders now in charge of the world’s most advanced and successful nations, are knowledgeable, competent, deep strategic thinkers and planners, highly analytical, performers, achievers, committed to solving the most difficult and complex problems, ambitious, creative, capable, self-motivated, inspirational and transformational. Ghana should do careful research fish out these new generation leaders who will lead us to catch up with the nations ahead of us, to compete with them and possibly over take them. Our generation shouldn’t vote for any presidential candidate above the age of 55years as of now. The old have had their turn. It is now the turn of the young. Moko Ayaa Ne Moko Aba. Spread the word. Market driven Agric – who wants what? – how is it wanted? – when is it wanted ? – at what price is it wanted? Ghana needs to develop the entire value chain, work to become self sufficient in rice and maize production, establish youth farm camps, treat food production as a real security issue, create space for strategic thinking by engaging people to constitute a serious research think- tank, ensure that the top two executives of key strategic institutions like banks are qualified natives, and negotiate with USA to take some of our youth for a 2 year bonded paid farm work program, after which they return to engage in agricultural activity here. Like China did, we should facilitate easy entry of Ghanaians in the Diaspora to bring in capital to invest locally so foreign investors can partner them when they come here. When the capital of the foreign banks in Ghana is taken away, all the local banks have a combined capital of only $300 million. Capitalization of local banks is a matter of urgency to support local businesses. In Ghana, economic activity is impacted more by practice than policy. Government must engage more with the private sector to ensure a convergence between practice and policy. Finally, political parties should bear in mind when making choices of candidates for public office that, though seniority may be important, VISION, IMAGINATION & PERFORMANCE are more important. It is very strong political leadership, resolved political will, a state- led private sector economic model with a clear choice in direction that favours natural-based economic development and backed by an employment strategy that targets the vulnerable and less educated, a strategic maximization of the benefits of our geo-political circumstance is the name of the game. We must move away from farm-driven to market- driven agriculture, produce the huge quantity of chickens we consume per day locally, ensure that 10% of the air- time of the telecommunication companies be traded by Ghanaians, use the fish- bone technique to unbundle the oil services sector and put a spot eye on certain major foreign business concerns in Ghana who fix their own forex rates that all Ghanaians comply with. We must also use the rich youth brain power, massive strength and fresh, creative, ideas as the main driving force for an economic revolution. Finally we should address the crucial issue of the capitalization of local banks to support Ghanaian businesses. Charles Sam. Golden Future Promotions. goldnfuture@yahoo.com

  6. I have followed your write ups and its very interesting the kind of things you say and knowing that there are a few people in this country that promotes a new type of leadership.

I also had a vivid perspective of your vision after listening to you on Metro TV on the 16th of January, 2011.

In February of 2011, there would be a launch of a new movement called Africa Unbound at the UN Economics Affairs Office in Addis and I would be making a statement on behalf of Africa's Youth on the readiness of young people for this movement.
The vision behind Africa Unbound is for each of us to recognize our individual responsibility for our personal development; and by extension, to assume the important role of contributors to our communities. When we incorporate civic responsibility into our daily lives and add value beyond the development of our family nucleus, reaching into community, nation, and world, we shift into our ultimate personal power - we make ourselves useful in ways beyond our imagination.

Africa Unbound aims to engender a paradigm shift in the way we think about and practice development. The prevailing view is that development is the responsibility of governments and international institutions, such as the World Bank and United Nations. While this is true, it is also important to recognize our individual responsibility and role in the development process. We need to focus on the contributions we can make - large and small - that can add to efforts to alleviate poverty and engender growth. Ultimately, we as caring individuals will be playing the role of partners to governments and formal institutions - development for the people, by the people.
It would be my pleasure to share with you the outcome of the launch and the focus for this movement in each of the African countries that has been identified to get this new initiative going and it would be my pleasure to get minds like you on board. I am also looking at getting local writers to write publications for the quarterly magazine of Africa Unbound Magazine and would love to have your contributions in this developmental agenda.
We do not know about tomorrow, but we certainly know who owns the future. It belongs to young people who given the opportunity, can make meaningful contributions in their communities, nations and towards the Unification of the entire African continent.
    Best Regards.
